Image Published!
A few weeks ago I was at the Kennedy Cupcakes first birthday bash. It was a fantastic night with an astonishing amount of money raised for charity. The girls did really well.
For me, it marked the first time I had met the girls (even though we hardly spoke as everyone was so busy) and it lead to the fantastic 50s shoot we did a few weeks ago. Not only am I glad I was there, but I am proud as hell that I was a (very small) part of that night.
Well Lisa, the main cupcake, wrote a wee diary entry all about the night, the leadup to it and the eventual HUGE amount raised for charity and sent this to Vintage Life Magazine – it’s a fairly new publication covering everything about the 40s and 50s. She kindly included an image of mine – which the magazine has included in their article.
So here it is, they have cropped it slightly different to the original, but I am not going to complain – after all they have to fit it into a small space.
CMDance Advert
Remember a few weeks ago I did a shoot for a local dance school – well here’s their advert all made up for the local paper.
My Image in an Advert
I was asked by the nice people at Easterbrook Hall if they could use some of my images of their venue in one of the adverts and on their new website (launching in January!) Of course I said yes! I am proud as punch that a venue such as this liked my images so much they would use it to show potential couples their venue.
Of course, the bride and groom liking the images – that is still number 1 on the list of highs, but when a venue likes them, that really is a close second.
The advert is going to be on the back cover of a magazine called “D&G Life” and with thanks to Laura at Easterbrook for sending me the file and letting me post it on the blog.
(ps my image is the one on the left – the night shot of the church)
It really is a lovely location. If you are looking for someplace unique to hold your wedding I recommend this place. Yes, it may be a little far from Glasgow for some – but staying overnight down there does add an extra air of romance to your wedding.
The website for Easterbrook is http://www.easterbrookhall.co.uk/
Many thanks to Laura and Nicola for being so nice.
Entry in the SPF
I totally forgot this. I used to be part of a local camera club which was affiliated with the Scottish Photographic Federation (SPF.) Each year, clubs from all over Scotland are invited to submit images to a panel of judges. The judges pick images to form the SPF Portfolio, which is then sent around each club in Scotland for viewing.
I had some images submitted and one of them was accepted for this porfolio.
Needless to say I am chuffed to bits.
